Results: Fifteen per cent (n = 184) of participants identified as having a mental health condition in the past 12 months. Across most (7 of 8) sleep parameters, the prevalence of suboptimal sleep was higher among people with a mental health condition, compared to those without (all p < 0.05). The highest prevalence of suboptimal sleep for both groups was seen on measures of sleep duration (36–39% and 17–20% for people with and without a mental health condition, respectively). In terms of sleep assessment and treatment, people with a mental health condition were significantly more likely to: desire treatment (37% versus 16%), have been assessed (38% versus 12%) and have received treatment (30% versus 7%). Conclusions: The prevalence of suboptimal sleep among persons with a mental health condition in Australia is significantly higher than those without such a condition, and rates of assessment and treatment are low for both groups, but higher for people with a mental health condition. Population health interventions, including those delivered as part of routine health care, addressing suboptimal sleep are needed.]]> Wed 13 Mar 2024 08:54:45 AEDT ]]> Barriers and facilitators to using vaporised nicotine products as smoking cessation aids among people receiving treatment for substance use disorder https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:46007 Wed 13 Mar 2024 08:48:46 AEDT ]]> Impact of neonatal infection on adult hippocampal glucocorticoid and mineralocorticoid receptors and hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis outcomes https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:7728 Wed 11 Apr 2018 12:15:49 AEST ]]> Trend over time on knowledge of the health effects of cigarette smoking and smokeless tobacco use in Bangladesh: Findings from the International Tobacco Control Policy Evaluation Bangladesh Surveys https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:53471 Tue 28 Nov 2023 15:53:59 AEDT ]]> A systematic review of psychosocial barriers and facilitators to smoking cessation in people living with schizophrenia https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:34980 Tue 03 Sep 2019 18:02:13 AEST ]]> Current status of postnatal depression smartphone applications available on application stores: an information quality analysis https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:30923 Tue 01 May 2018 08:49:58 AEST ]]> The effectiveness of implementation strategies in improving preconception and antenatal preventive care: a systematic review https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:52109 Thu 28 Sep 2023 14:56:02 AEST ]]> Signs, fines and compliance officers: a systematic review of strategies for enforcing smoke-free policy https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:37072 Thu 13 Aug 2020 12:47:43 AEST ]]> Smokeless tobacco policy in Bangladesh: A stakeholder study of compatibility with the World Health Organization's Framework Convention on Tobacco Control https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:49327 Thu 11 May 2023 15:00:55 AEST ]]> Systematic review of lifestyle interventions to improve weight, physical activity and diet among people with a mental health condition https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:53752 Thu 11 Jan 2024 12:35:54 AEDT ]]> Impact of perinatal depression and anxiety on birth outcomes: a retrospective data analysis https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:39920 Thu 11 Aug 2022 14:36:04 AEST ]]> An online survey of informal caregivers' unmet needs and associated factors https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:38559 Thu 04 Nov 2021 11:03:30 AEDT ]]> Conceptualization of an evidence-based smartphone innovation for caregivers and persons living with dementia https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:29758 Sat 24 Mar 2018 07:32:17 AEDT ]]> An online cross-sectional survey of the health risk behaviours among informal caregivers https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:38574 Mon 29 Jan 2024 17:57:08 AEDT ]]> YouTube as a resource for evaluating the unmet needs of caregivers of stroke survivors https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:37138 Mon 14 Nov 2022 17:54:50 AEDT ]]> Systematic review and meta-analysis of the prevalence of smokeless tobacco consumption among adults in Bangladesh, India and Myanmar https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:39340 Mon 03 Jul 2023 10:37:21 AEST ]]> QuitNic: A Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial Comparing Nicotine Vaping Products with Nicotine Replacement Therapy for Smoking Cessation following Residential Detoxification https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:49500 Fri 19 May 2023 12:08:56 AEST ]]> Exploring Support Provided by Community Managed Organisations to Address Health Risk Behaviours Associated with Chronic Disease among People with Mental Health Conditions: A Qualitative Study with Organisational Leaders https://nova.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:51349 Fri 01 Sep 2023 13:36:15 AEST ]]>
